Dear participants and supporters of the WPIST.

The WPIST was first organized by me in 1982. 8 teams participated and football was played in 1 sports hall in one day. In the past 40+ years, the tournament has grown into a tournament in which an average of 100+ teams participate and football is played for 3 days in 5 sports halls. In those 40+ years, we have received 80,000 guests from all over the world from around 60 different countries.

As chairman, I am extremely proud of all the people who have helped to organize the WPIST over the past 40+ years.

Every year they have dedicated themselves to the WPIST in their spare time.The members of the board and the volunteers are already busy behind the scenes to improve the tournament scheduled for November this year.

The Marveld Resort has invested fantastically in the subtropical swimming pool over the past 2 years, which has now been turned into a water park with beautiful slides.

In 2023 the Marveld Resort started the construction of an amusement park. Yes, you read that right, an amusement park! This makes it quite likely for you to return with your family. So there will always be something new to see at the beautiful resort in the coming years, which we are very grateful that we can accommodate our tournament there.

We will do everything we can to make sure it is a week to remember for ever.
